VisitBritain is a non-departmental public body that works to raise Britain’s profile worldwide, increasing tourism throughout the country.
By encouraging the drive for increased tourism, VisitBritain has played a huge role in getting our country back on its feet in terms of tourism following the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a key player in the Manchester tourism industry, we’re grateful for the support that VisitBritain, VisitEngland and VisitManchester have and still continue to provide us, and our work with all three boards over the years led us to be nominated for the Tourism Superstar of the Year 2023 awards.
The award, which is run by VisitEngland in partnership with The Mirror Newspaper, recognises the dedication and passion of those, like ourselves, working in the tourism industry throughout the country. We were honoured to have been finalists for the 2023 awards, and simply being nominated through recognition that we’re passionate about tourism and provide a consistently high standard of service was a fantastic achievement.
Over the years, Manchester Taxi Tours has worked in collaboration with not only VisitBritain but also two local tourism boards under their umbrella – VisitEngland and VisitManchester.
We were recently listed as one of the 7 best ways to explore Manchester by VisitEngland, and VisitManchester continuously supports us in promoting our unique tours of the city, spreading the word far and wide.
We have worked with journalists and film crews from each tourism board as part of our many ventures into film & media and may just have some more work in the pipeline – so keep your eyes peeled!
